THE FUTURE OF all tactical MEDICAL TRAINING
REANIMATED CADAVER TRAINING
The challenge with training in tactical medicine lies in its stagnant evolution compared to advancements in technology, protocols, and equipment. Across the country, hundreds of training providers repeat the same outdated training evolutions, often involving tactically entering, neutralizing the threat, and administering care to non-responsive, non-injured mannequins or actors. While there have been strides in simulating realistic weapon use and tactics through simunitions and pyrotechnics, there has been a glaring gap in replicating realistic injuries for providers – specifically those who encounter such injuries on the streets every day.
Recognizing this gap, The Raytom Group and our partners at TruBODIES Reanimated Tissue Training (RTT) have developed a groundbreaking solution: the most realistic trauma training experience available outside of treating a live patient. RTT goes beyond traditional perfused cadavers; it offers a cadaver model with an anatomically correct structure and a proprietary pulsatile-flow cadaver perfusion system. This system simulates a living trauma patient's vascular system, responding dynamically to treatments in a manner that mirrors real-life scenarios.
By providing emergency professionals with access to RTT, we empower them to hone their skills in a truly immersive and true-to-life environment, enhancing their ability to provide effective care in high-pressure situations. With RTT, we bridge the gap between theoretical training and real-world application, ensuring that our providers are prepared to handle the complexities of trauma care with confidence and proficiency.
What is “Reanimated” Tissue ?
Re-Animated Tissue Training (RTT) utilizes proprietary technology discreetly integrated into cadavers to replicate the physiological processes observed in living patients. This innovative approach involves surgically implanting devices that facilitate the pumping of oxygenated blood through the cadaver, effectively perfusing it in a manner akin to a live individual. As a result, the cadavers exhibit lifelike characteristics such as a pulse, skin perfusion, and the capability to manifest a wide range of traumatic injuries, thereby replicating real-world scenarios with remarkable accuracy.
This novel concept represents a significant advancement beyond traditional methods such as animal labs, where concerns regarding anatomical accuracy and ethical considerations have long been debated. Moreover, in a training environment, the experience of assessing a human body, identifying its injuries-how these injuries actually respond, and navigating through fear and stress simply cannot be replicated by conventional means.
By providing emergency professionals with access to RTT, we offer a unique and unparalleled opportunity to train in an environment that closely mirrors real-world conditions, thereby enhancing their preparedness and proficiency in managing complex trauma cases. This transformative approach not only elevates the quality of training but also underscores our commitment to advancing the field of medical education with ethical and anatomically accurate methodologies.
BURNS, BALISTICS AND Blast INJURIES RTT course
Course Overview: In this comprehensive course, participants will engage with Re-Animated Tissue Training (RTT) cadavers that have been intentionally subjected to Burns, Ballistics, and Blast injuries. Aimed at Field Providers, Tactical Medical Technicians, Firefighters, and Emergency Hospital Providers, this training will focus on assessing, treating, and managing the RTT cadavers using common first and second-line equipment, field medications, and local protocols. 2- Day Course
Key Features:
Realistic Simulation: Participants will have the opportunity to interact with RTT cadavers that accurately replicate the injuries associated with Burns, Ballistics, and Blast incidents, providing an immersive and lifelike training experience.
Treatment Protocols: The course will cover current thought processes and best practices for treating these types of injuries, emphasizing the importance of timely and effective intervention in high-pressure scenarios.
Advanced Equipment Showcase: Participants will gain hands-on experience with advanced trauma management protocols and equipment, including innovative tools and techniques used in the field.
Autopsy Demonstrations: The training will conclude with detailed autopsies, offering participants insight into the pathophysiology of these wounds internally. This segment will showcase the progression of injuries, hidden trauma, and secondary complications, enhancing participants' understanding of trauma management.
Advanced Trauma Management RTT
Advanced Trauma Management with Re-Animated Tissue offers paramedics, EMTs, and fire service providers an immersive training experience with a re-animated cadaver, supervised by The Raytom Group's Trauma Doctor. Participants encounter a variety of common and rare traumatic injuries presented in a perfusing cadaver model.
Throughout the course, participants treat the cadaver using common equipment, medications, and local protocols. Injuries covered include pelvic fractures, long bone injuries, arterial, venous, and capillary bleeds, lacerations to the neck, traumatic airway management, flail chest, spinal cord injuries, and more.
The course aims to enhance participants' trauma management skills and prepare them to respond effectively to diverse injuries in real-world scenarios. Experienced instructors guide participants through lifelike trauma simulations, fostering confidence and proficiency in delivering high-quality trauma care. 2-Day Course
